The youth of today have this new trend: keeping 1 of 2 ipod earbuds in their ear at all times. My sister and I (shout out to Cinders for acknowledging this hate for Hater Thursday) were at the mall, and there were youth everywhere. I collectively call young people "youth" because I feel I can now that I have reached "20-something" status. Well while at the mall, a Saturday evening, there were youth everywhere dressed like they were going to da club. There were girls and boys flirting it up in the food court. I swear while we were eating we saw like 5 boys all wearing just one white earbud, all while chatting it up with their dude friends and lady friends.
Are they listening to music? Is showing the white earbud a status thing? Is it secretly a hearing aid? I don't know. Having something constantly in your ear is rude to those around you, right? Maybe I'm just old and don't get the trend. But now that I noticed this, I'm seeing it everywhere! It's insane. It's like the 15 year old bluetooth, totally D-bag-ish.
