IHST Official Twilight Review

The Review is in...
Last night Maribel and I went and saw Twilight. The original plan for the evening was: Maribel was going to finish her homework, and I was to go get tickets for Milk because I knew it was going to sell out. Well, I fell asleep and ruined lives...therefore we had to go see Twilight. But it's cool, we are going to see Milk next week (of course we will have an IHST Official Review of that film as well).

So anyway, back to Twilight. We settled in our seats with our huge ($5.00) cherry slushies and illegally brought bag of baked cheddar trail mix treats...we were ready to go.

The film had Oregon charm left and right. How could we not love it? They filmed this movie near Maribel's old stomping ground so she was hooked. Visually the film was gorgeous. The setting was perfect. The contrast and lighting of the film really worked. Pale faces and clouds go so well together.
Overall the film had some pretty cheese-tastic scenes, but c'mon...it's a movie about vampires. The main gal, Bella (Kristen Stewart) was a snore-fest. The real and only star of the film was super beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Maribel described him perfectly: if Edward Scissorhands and James Dean had a baby it would be Edward Cullen. What added to his charm? Well lets see: his great Euro-looking gray pea coat, his great RayBan's, his broody scowl, the "apple save" (this scene can be seen at the bottom of the post), and his piano skills. All I have to say is the last scene under the beautifully lit gazebo was fabulous.

So basically this review just says:
Oregon is beautiful and so is Robert Pattinson.
Maribel and I have a new Tigerbeat crush.
