Who doesn't love velcro?

Happy Birthday from my mom:

I usually don't like the Argyle look, but when I saw these they totally were an exception. I really like the color combo.

Also, I've been on the hunt for a very specific kind of shoe. I saw a pair of purple and gray velcro sneakers when I was in the ARG (for our new readers: this is what I call Argentina). Well they had 3 velcro straps, mostly purple with gray lining. I loved them! I saw them on some girl at a cafe and I wanted to steal them from her feet. They have always been in the back of my mind. Since I received some birthday money, I went on a hunt. I went the Jack Purcell route and the Vans route. Of course I found nothing like I described. But I did find some orange 3 velcro strap vans...am I an orange person though? I'm thinking it's time to change things up. Anyway, I like my decision...
