Havoc

Since Arctic Blast '08 forced me into house arrest, I indulged in tons of On Demand movie watching. As luck would have it, Havoc was one of the free movie options! I had heard of this movie before and was always curious about it. It had a good cast: Anne Hathaway, Freddy Rodriguez, Shiri Appleby (ROSWELL!!), Joseph Gordon-Levitt, that's a recipe for a decent movie, right? WRONG!!! Dead wrong!

Havoc is like Crazy/Beautiful, but with more gratuitous nudity and ridiculous dialogue. Anne Hathaway gives the most embarrassing performance of a lifetime. If I were her, or any of the other cast members, I would want this movie pulled from shelves and burned to ashes. I think the WORST performance goes to Joseph Gordon-Levitt. His impression of a white kid trying to be Black was nowhere near spot on. Judging from the weird head movements and the slurred speech, I'd think his character was midly retarded. And Freddy Rodriguez as a cholo? Not believable. I can't take him seriously with his Frida braid. And his accent is absolutely painful to hear.
