Mix-Great Monday: Marble$ Edition

Aren't you glad Stefanie fixed the blog RIGHT before Mix-Great Monday? You should be.
  1. Song That Speaks To My Soul: Destroy Everything You Touch- LadytronDestroy Everything You Touch - Ladytron I like this song because it reminds me of when I first moved to Portland. I was fiercely independent during this time and I enjoyed getting to know Portland and myself. For me, Ladytron's music conjures up memories of my gold flats, my green peacoat, and my ipod nano that I used to listen to as I rode the MAX to work. Good times :) My gold flats symbolize a metamorphosis in my life and I will never get rid of them! No matter how busted they get through the rain and all the walking I do. Yes, that's a picture of me wearing my favorite flats. Feet fetishists rejoice.
  2. THE THROWBACK: You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) - Sylvester I have loved this song FOREVER. Since I was a wee child. My madre looooved disco music/80's and she loved to have impromptu dancing in the living room/and or kitchen. I forgot about this song until we went to go see Milk. Sylvester actually attended his birthday party! How fantastic is that?! This song makes me want to wear gold lamé short-shorts and rollerskates.
  3. THE GUILTY PLEASURE: last night by keyshia cole ft p.diddy - p.diddy ft keyshia cole Let me explain myself. I can't help but LOVE this song because the beat and the harpischord speak to my soul and make me want to dance. I LOVE songs with harpischords in them. For reals. Don't get me wrong though, Diddy is an idiot for the most part, but he did something beautiful with Keyshia Cole.
