MixGreat...it's July!

1. Song That Speaks To My Soul
"The Other Man"-Sloan

This song really tells a story, the story of being the "other"/the homewrecker, from the perspective of a man. It's different and really conveys an interesting message. I fell in love with this song back in high school, I love to sing it. I'm planning to be the "other woman" one day so it's fun to do lyric changes. God, I'm kidding?

2. The Throwback
"Gangsta Lean"-D.R.S.

Another gem I loved back when I dipped into my sister's CD collection. I remember the cover of this album so clearly. I wish I could remember the words to this song, something to put on my to do list for the summer. How heavy was this song? It's all about losing a fellow gangsta. Pour one for my homie...

3. The Guilty Pleasure
"No Te Veo"-Jowell y Randy Ft. Pitbull & Sincero

This song is so ridiculously catchy. I found this remix the night/morning Maribel was trying to finish her final, and I became Pitbull's historian. Pitbull has a pretty gross line in this song, but I choose to ignore it's vulgarity and just go with beat. At the end of the song Pitbull goes Latin America happy and gives shout outs to a bunch of countries. Which country does he end with: El Salvador, listen closely at 4:49. Sweeeet. Oh ya 4:35 he shouts out Mexico, we cool Marb$?

4. Song That Is Like Roses & Chocolate
"Music For Love"-Mario

I didn't realize how much I really liked Mario's voice until he popped up a bunch on my Pandora radio. This song in particular just has pretty written all over it. This song is perfect for roses and chocolate, play it for your loved one or listen to it alone and weep a little. No one has to know.

5. SPECIAL MJ EDITION
"Rock With You"

I've had this song as a throwback before, but I had to share it today. It's my all time favorite Michael song, it just makes me feel so happy! It's a feel good song for sure. I still can't believe MJ is gone, but I will forever love his music.
